Principals & Partners

Laura Billings Coleman

A communications and development consultant with a deep journalism background, Laura works with nonprofits, foundations, colleges and community groups to create smart content, fundraising strategies and custom publications that increase their capacity to do good.

Pro Bono Projects: Laura is also a pro bono consultant to organizations working for women’s and children’s health, resources for the St. Paul public schools and wild habitat preservation. A member of the board of the Center for Irish Music, she’s got a soft spot for Grand Marais, YMCA summer camps, and orangutans.

Nick Coleman

Nick is focused on constituent research, institutional histories and engagement strategies for mission-driven organizations. A long-time journalist with reporting experience from 87 Minnesota counties, Nick is a 2012 Bush Leadership Fellow and a 2016 Shannon Institute Fellow.

Pro Bono Projects: Media strategies to serve and strengthen Minnesota’s diverse communities are the focus of Nick’s recent pro bono commitments. Government transparency, protecting the Boundary Waters, youth hockey and all things Irish also rate.
